Day six: 6 ideas to spruce up your non-alcoholic drinks
For the designated drivers, people quietly trying to conceive, people watching their calorie intake, recovering alcoholics, and just because it’s the responsible thing to do. It's important to have more than just booze at your party, but that doesn't mean anything non-alcoholic has to be boring!
Here are six ideas to spruce up the non-alcoholic options at your next party! Think about options that are interesting and multipurpose, great options don't have to mean more work for you.
Garnish many of these drinks with a sprig of rosemary, frozen cranberries or raspberries, or even a piece of dried fruit - lemon, lime, or orange to make them more interesting. Click here for instructions on how to dry citrus in the oven.
Non-alcoholic mocktail - serve in a punch bowl or drink dispenser so it can double as your feature cocktail by adding vodka or gin.
Water - sparkling water, and infused water. For your infused water - slice up an orange or cucumber and throw in some frozen cranberries - it’s super simple but makes it much more special and looks great!
Have a couple of soft drink options - ginger ale is my absolute fav to have on hand as it is great on it's own, it mixes well with juices, and also mixes well with liquors.
Juice that’s low in sugar, and could also mix nicely with a sparkling water or ginger ale for another mocktail option (ie: orange, pineapple, or cranberry).
Hot cocoa bar - a nice throwback to being a kid. Have fun with it by providing whipped cream, mini marshmallows, candy canes, cookie sticks, cinnamon sticks, and sprinkles.
